Breast Cancer Awareness Talk and Screening

On October 19, 2023, The Barstow School, Ghana hosted an educational session aimed at raising awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection. The event was well-attended by all staff, and it proved to be an informative and engaging experience.
Experts from Havan Millenium Specialist Hospital led by Dr Owusu Ansah delivered a comprehensive talk on breast cancer. The talk covered various aspects, including risk factors, early warning signs, the importance of regular screenings, and strategies for prevention. The presentation was not only informative but also highly engaging, as it featured real-life stories and experiences shared by the Medical team.
Following the educational session, the team from Havan Millenium Specialist Hospital organized a breast cancer screening clinic on our premises. This screening allowed attendees to undergo mammography and receive professional advice on breast health.
